FRP Tanks for Water Treatment, RO and Filtration Plants in Pakistan

Every water treatment plant — from a factory RO system to a municipal filtration works — depends on tanks and vessels that stay clean, leak-free and corrosion-free for years. In Pakistan’s climate, with hard groundwater, saline water and constant chlorination, steel tanks corrode quickly. That is why FRP tanks are now the standard choice for water treatment, RO, softening and filtration plants.

Why FRP Suits Water Treatment

  • Corrosion-proof: FRP does not rust in raw water, brine, chlorinated water or treatment chemicals.
  • Clean water contact: Food-grade and orthophthalic resin systems are used for drinking water, with a smooth inner surface that resists scaling and algae.
  • Chemical resistance: The same plant can use FRP for hypochlorite, caustic, acid and coagulant tanks by choosing the right resin for each.
  • Lightweight and modular: Easy to transport, lift and install, even on rooftops and mezzanines.
  • Long life, low maintenance: No painting, no internal coating to repair.

FRP Tanks and Vessels in a Typical Treatment Plant

Raw and treated water storage

Vertical, horizontal or underground FRP tanks from 500 litres to 300,000 litres store raw water, filtered water and RO permeate.

Filter and pressure vessels

Pressure sand filters, multimedia filters, activated carbon filters and softener vessels need to handle pressure as well as water. Most FRP storage tanks are atmospheric, but we build pressurised vessels up to 2.5 bar on request.

Chemical dosing tanks

Treatment plants dose sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, acid and coagulants. Each needs a tank with the correct resin — for example, isophthalic or vinyl ester for hypochlorite up to 15% at 40 °C, and vinyl ester for caustic soda.

Brine tanks

Softener regeneration uses saturated salt brine, which quickly corrodes steel. Isophthalic FRP brine tanks handle saturated brine up to 70 °C.

Pipework, walkways and fume control

FRP and PVC+FRP pipes carry water and chemicals, FRP grating provides safe non-slip walkways over filters and clarifiers, and FRP scrubbers and blowers handle chlorine vapours in dosing rooms.

Sizing an FRP Tank for Your Plant

  • Storage time: Size treated-water tanks for the hours of supply you need during filter backwash, maintenance or power cuts.
  • Dosing tanks: Size chemical tanks for your delivery frequency — usually one to four weeks of consumption.
  • Space: Tall, narrow vertical tanks save floor space; horizontal tanks suit low-height rooms; underground tanks keep water cool.
  • Access: Plan manholes, ladders, level indicators and overflow/vent lines from the start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are FRP tanks safe for drinking water?

Yes, when they are built with a suitable food-grade resin system and properly cured. Always tell the manufacturer the tank is for potable water.

Can FRP tanks be used underground?

Yes. We fabricate vertical, horizontal and underground FRP tanks; underground tanks are designed for soil load and groundwater conditions.

Do you make FRP vessels for RO and softener plants?

We manufacture FRP tanks and pressurised vessels up to 2.5 bar for water treatment service. Share your flow rate, media volume and operating pressure for a recommendation.

Which industries do you supply?

Municipal and industrial water treatment, textile mills, food and beverage, power plants and chemical plants. See our sodium hypochlorite & wastewater solutions.
